LGNA has once again been awarded a grant from the Bernalillo County Neighborhood Grant Progam! We are very excited to have funds available to plan and host several events for our neighbors in the comming year!
On Wednesday,7/31/2024, the Zoning Hearing Examiner(ZHE) denied Quik Trip's Conditional Use applications for heavy fueling and nicotine sales. The ZHE granted the Conditional Use application for package alcohol sales. Quik Trip has 15 days to appeal. The time consuming and worthwhile efforts of your Board and concerned citizens from area neighborhood associations are making a difference in letting the developer and the city know that there is little to NO support for this type of development at I-40 and 12th Street. Stay tuned! AS OF 8/16/24, PLANNING STAFF STATED THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED AN APPEAL FROM QUIK TRIP. WE ARE IN A HOLDING PATTERN UNTIL WE FIND OUT IF THERE WILL BE ANY FURTHER ACTION FROM QUIK TRIP.
