On Monday, January 15, 2024, Martin Luther King Jr's  Birthday Holiday, students from the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy chose to do service projects around the city rather than have a day of leisure.  Here is a link to the Albuquerque Journal article about  the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event gifted to LGNA by the Albuquerque Sigh Language Academy: https://www.abqjournal.com/good_news/helping-our-community-charter-school-students-spend-mlk-jr-day-giving-back/article_924dc3fc-b3f2-11ee-b851-9797be704a9a.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=email&utm_campaign=user-share

FIESTA 2023 WAS FUN FOR ALL!

Thanks to everyone who attended LGNA's first National Neighbor's Night Out. We didn't know what to expect but many neighbors came, paletas were enjoyed and we were joined by representatives from APD, AFR, Park Management, Melanie Stansbury's office, City Council candidate, Joaquin Baca, and we even had an APD helicopter fly over to wish us well! We will definitely do this again in 2024!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the first LGNA Potluck at Valley Neighborhood Park! It was great to have no agenda and time to talk and enjoy delicious food. We have neighbors with wonderful culinary skills in addition to being really good people. If you missed this one, plan to come to the next one. Date and time TBD.

A small but mighty group of neighbors made quick work of cleaning Valley Neighborhood Park on Earth Day! Thanks to all who participated and those who stopped by to cheer us on!

Coffee with Cops at Starbucks at Avanyu Plaza was a big success! Thank you to Lamont Davis, our APD North Valley Crime Prevention Specialist, the leadership of The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the very generous management and staff at Starbucks!
